Overview
Top quality PV cable with MC4, male/female, 10/1, 80ft, 1000 V, PV wire. This may be used to extend one wire 80 feet to another MC connection or cut in half to extend both positive and negative wires 40 feet to normal wire connections. Photovoltaic wire, commonly known as PV wire, is used as a interconnection wire for photovoltaic power systems. This product is sunlight and UV resistant and commonly used in solar applications. UL & ROHS compliant. All wires are UL listed and sunlight resistant.

Overview
Why use larger cable? Very high current flows in the cables that connect an inverter to the batteries, even in a low-voltage power system. Household appliances can draw over 100 amps, and motors may draw up to 500 amps. Larger cables allow the inverter to draw the current needed to support a large load. Use these cables between individual battery cells or between battery banks. Use 2/0 cables for 175-amp and 200-amp fuses. Circuits protected by 250-amp breakers or 400-amp fuses should use 4/0 cables. Cables are marked in red heat-shrink tubing for positive and white on black heat-shrink for negative.
Features of the 12″ cable plated copper lugs: These UL-listed lugs are made from tin-plated copper tubing with 3/8″ holes, soldered or crimped to a stranded cable.
Heat-shrink tubing: This tubing insulates the copper lugs and compression terminals. Tubing shrinks and glue inside melts when heated, sealing wires against corrosion and moisture.
UL-listed battery cable: This fine-stranded, very flexible cable is UL-listed for use as battery cable. It is rated MTW/THW/AWM, 600 volt, sunlight resistant, direct burial, 105 degrees C. Color: Black, Length: 12″.
